Q: I have seen automotive tinting bubble, peel, and fade. Will that happen in my home?
A: No. The film we use for homes is a completely different product. The bubbling and peeling you have seen is due to adhesive failure. Our residential films use a unique adhesive that does not break down over time. It just doesn't bubble or peel. And, because our residential films are metalized, they will never change color. Most automotive tinting is dyed in a vat and is susceptable to fading.
Q: My builder says that window film will cause my windows to break or the seals to fail. Is that true?
A: No. We have very few problems with seal failure and glass breakage. On the rare occasion that we do have a problem, replacement glass and new film is covered by the manufacturer's warranty for most windows. We will be happy to go over the causes of seal failure and glass breakage with you during your consultation.
Q: How do I clean the windows with the film? Do I need special cleaners?
A: With Vista and LLumar there is no special care required. Our films can be cleaned by whatever method you use now. This is because our adhesive is not attacked by ammonia found in most glass cleaning products. The manufacturer has a patent on this unique adhesive - Vista and LLumar are the only films that do not require special care!

Q: I want to tint my whole car as dark as I can. What's legal?
A: In Michigan, you can go as dark as you want on all the windows behind the driver. On the driver's door, front passenger door, and the windshield, all that is legal is a 4" strip across the top of the window. Some customers don't care for this look and will either not do the two front doors or choose a light style of tint (with the knowledge that even the light tint is not legal).
